Nat's Second Shower (August 10th 2008)

Nat's second shower at her parents place was a success. Adriana planned and put together the entire thing. It was a lot of work that I cannot take any credit for. (I was golfing all day!) The last picture is of Nat's bridal party.

Nat's Birthday

Last Thursday we wene out for nat's B-day. They took us to 17th street, which is their answer to St-Catherine's. We had dinner at Melrose, we all had a blast. The guy with the glasses is Glen, Candace's (Nat's sister) boyfriend.

Visit to the Calgary Zoo

On Wednesday August 6th, Nat had a meeting at the zoo to finalize some loose ends and we tagged along. When her meeting was done the lady said we could take a walk around the zoo. Adri and I spent 2 hours there and we didn't even get t see all the animals. It's much different than our "crappy" Granby Zoo!! The animals are all in habitats, and there are a lot of different animals. One interesting exibit was "Australia at Night". The room is completely dark, with some blue lights, and bats and marsupials are all over the place.

I'm sure the wedding is going to be great! I van't wait to be eating dinner and hear the sounds of all the animals as they try to fall asleep!

Boating at the Cottage

The day after we went to the Hot Springs, we went to Ross's Aunt and Uncle's "cottage" in Invermere. The place has 16 foot ceilings, and looks more like a mansion!

He took us boating on the lake, and we all had a blast! His goal is to try and get you to fly off the tube into the water!

Chillin' in the Hot Springs

We went for a drive, while we were camping, to some Hot Springs just outside of Invermere. You have to drive on a dirt road for 17km up a mountain until you reach a small parking lot with changing rooms.
The water comes out of the mountain and is even hotter than your average hot tub, because of the reaction with Sulfur found in that particular mountain.
You sit in small enclosed pools that are really hot, and smell like rotten eggs because of the Sulfur, and right in front of you is the river that is really cold.
It was a lot of fun, and the place was filled with European tourists!

Camping in Invermere B.C.

Nat and Ross took us camping in BC about 1 hour from Banff. The picture looking through the mountains is the entrance into the city of Radium, which is known for their natural hot springs. The other picture of the mountains was our view from the campsite. It was really awesome to wake up to that every morning!

TheTrip Back Through the Rockies (Wednesday August 30th 2008)

We left for Calgary at 5:30am Wednesday morning. The trip back through the mountains was even more beautiful than the trip a week ago. The mountains seemed even bigger than before. We saw some Big Horn Sheep standing next to the road in Revelstoke, along with the Bear monument guarding the entrance to the city.
We also took Highway 5 instead of the Trans Canada because it is a two lane Highway instead of a one lane Highway. It was mor scenic, but we had to pay a toll. The Sign saying British Columbia the best place on Earth is posted above their toll booth.

Driving through the Rockies at 110km/hour listening to Natasha Bedingfield and Katty Perry every 5 frickin minutes on Satellite Radio - PRICELESS!!!
